How Teens Can Trim The Flab

Many overweight people started out as healthy teenagers, who could not control their diet or control their lifestyle. All these changes made them obese over a period of time, and then later it became a problem. That is why as a teen, it is important for you to start maintaining your diet and weight now, to prevent any problems when you grow older. This article will tell you how teens can trim the flab.
For instance, playing sports is a must, and thanks to school, you are exposed to a variety of sports. You can try cricket, basketball, volleyball, soccer, tennis, etc. Take regular exercise. Head to the DVD rental store and pick up a DVD on aerobics, go home and try them out. In fact, it would be a good idea to involve your whole family – not only would it be more fun, it would make all of you healthier! Do chores around the house, as these not only make you lose weight, they make you fitter! Go for a morning jog when you wake up, just plug the iPod into your ears, and get running – it’ll get your blood flowing and will increase your heart rate! Try to exercise at least 20-30 minutes every day.
Watch the diet. Increase the intake of fresh fruit and green leafy vegetables, and cut down on the greasy, spicy foods. Limit the candy and the sweet intake. Go for the low fat varieties. Sugar, if it not burned off, is converted to fat – which is why you should avoid too many sweets. If you crave something sweet, go for some fruit, or even sugar-free candy.
It is very important to remember that with regular exercise and with maintenance of diet, a teen can trim the flab. Effort and constant dedication are needed to make the efforts a success.
