Obesity attacks everyone, men and women, adults and children. But to defeat this disease, each of us has different approach. Most women usually do not really care about their weight. They only want to know how to get flat abs. Well, whatever your objective is, you must remember that fat actually is your “friend”. Trying to lose fat or trying to get flat abs doesn’t mean you must avoid all high-fat foods.
Fat often get misinterpreted by people. When we gain weight, usually we can only talk about two options. The first one is to follow low carb diet. The second one is to follow traditional low fat diet. Even if we talk about low carb diet, usually the program will lead you to eliminate your excess fat. These methods, in other way, are trying to teach us that fat is our enemy.
Fat actually is not our enemy. Even if you are a highly obese person, you still need to consume fats. Of course during this situation you must avoid bad fats such as burgers or other processed foods. What you need is non saturated and good fats. They can be found in coconut oil, olive oil, salmon, and fishes. Normally you must eat good fats up to 30% every day in all of your meals (the other 30% are proteins and 40% are carbohydrates).
However, you must understand that eating fats and carbs at the same time is not right and we need to follow proper weight loss plan. A doctor told me that you must separate carb and fat on your plate. Combine veggies with rice or bread during dinner and combine veggies with good fats during lunch. But you must separate carb from fat, don’t eat them at the same time. This is necessary because the combination of fat and carb at the same time can make your metabolism slower and eventually you will lose weight much slower.
